We've created some simple but fun talon toys for your avian friends to enjoy. What sets our toys apart from others, is the quality parts we use. We have used a thicker hardwood circle (1-1/2" x 3/16") and heart (2" x 2" x 1/4") as the base and then added hardwood round beads strung on Paulie Rope*. The wood was dyed with 100% non-toxic food dye - the stuff we use in the foods we eat. Also, we tried to make talon toys that wouldn't just fall through the grate at the bottom of the cage when your birds drop them. We have placed our K.I.S.S. of Approval (Keep It Simple, Silly) on all these toys. Please, be sure to supervise your birds with any new toy and also be sure the size of the toy is appropriate for your birds - Safety First.
*Paulie Rope is a bright, colorful and safe alternative for bird toys. These polyethylene fibers are manufactured to be safe for birds and designed to maintain a "tight core" that helps prevent unsafe fraying of loose ends. Birds love to chew on this interlocking braid which holds a knot, nicely. Paulie Rope is washable and even dishwasher safe.
